   1. How is Flexi Staffing bringing a new dimension to the workforce planning in your industry sector?
  • As we experience the globalization of business and the VUCA world ( Volatile, Uncertainty, Complexity & Ambiguity), a prudent Workforce Planning Model will need to have judicious mix of regular & flexi staffing enabling higher deployment flexibility to either upscale or downscale manufacturing operations with a shorter lead time.

  • Also with increasing focus to gain the competitive edge in business there will be a clear trend of outsourcing the non value added jobs part of the business framework. Thus the need for flexi manpower for such outsourcing will be a viable alternative.
  2. How do you see the flexi staffing supporting industry growth in 2018-19?
  • The relatively low economic environment prevailing for past 24 months will continue to push demand for flexi manpower since many Industries would like to keep hiring of regular manpower on hold or do with minimal hiring in 2018-19. Hence flexi staffing will be clear viable alternative this financial year too.
  •    3. What are areas where Flexi Staffing can really fill gaps to compliment the growth in your industry?
  • One aspect will be to augment some flexibility part of Workforce Planning model to deal with a volatile market demand & growth trend. The other aspect will be the need to increase the competitive edge by outsourcing the non value added jobs through flexi staffing solutions. In case of Manufacturing operations – production, supply chain, parts warehouse, sales dispatch etc will be areas for flexi staffing. Also part of central functions like Finance, IT & HR will also opt for outsourcing the non value added activities.
